There are a LOT of resources available to inform and deepen your understanding during this period of transition in the United Methodist Church and strengthen your vision and values for the emerging season of The Next Methodism. Here is a partial listing of some contemporary resources from various perspectives that may be helpful. This website and the entire mission of the Northern Illinois WCA grows from a traditional/evangelical/orthodox Wesleyan framework. That being said, we also encourage checking out the views of the Progressives, Centrists, and Liberationists in their own words. Solid information, open communication, and dialogue are important as we discern the calling of the Holy Spirit for each of us as individuals and for the congregations of which we are a part.
